Ahhh....I am so excited to have 4 days off from both school and work. I unfortunately have a lot of studying and homework to do, but I'm still excited. Right now I'm relaxing at Brian's as we both procrastinate on doing our P90X workout....sigh.
As you know, I have this secret guilty pleasure at looking at photographer blogs. I stumbled across this photographer a while ago: http://shannennatasha.blogspot.com/ and I think she is by far my favorite (aside from Katie) ;-), based on how she edits her photos. I dont know what she does to edit them, but the photos have such an incredible feel to them...amazing. Whats funny is, she came in to my work the other day and got a guest pass with her friend (who she photographed a wedding of, and that is how I recognized the member from looking through shannen's blog....unintentional stalking, oops) who is a member of Drayson and I just sat there quitely awkard to myself knowing that I'd looked her blog up and down and she had no idea who I was. Haha. It was just a funny random moment.
My life otherwise has been uneventful. Still haven't heard from LLU. Scowl. The semester at RCC is just about finished and I'll be receiving my AA degree. Haha. Score. I have to take an online summer course...but I'm hoping that wont be too hard. Im just looking forward to Jennifer's wedding and hopefully planning and preparing to get into nursing school. I'll also be turning 24 in just over two months....that sounds so old! yikes. Alright, I'm gonna rest a bit before my work out. :)

Down the middle
I got my hair done today, when she styled it we tried something different. I've always wanted to try it parted down the middle (with plenty of volume of course) because I have seen it on other women with my face shape and it looks so good. Plus, my bangs are halfway grown out, which makes it more possible. These pictures definitely are NOT the best and do not accurately show how good it looks (Thanks Claire), but you get the idea :) I kinda like it. Now if only I can learn how to style it myself....my arms get tired when I use the round brush!

Twenty-Three
I saw someone do this on another blog. They listed interesting, possibly unknown facts about themselves. And they listed a number of facts matching how old they were. So for example, I'm 23, and will do my best to list 23 things about myself, just for fun :)
1. I have been blond, brunette, and a redhead.
2. I had a problem eating vegetables growing up, but now one of my favorite meals is spinach salad. I used to look at spinach salad or just any salad in general and think "whyyyy would I eat something that looks like it just got picked off a bush outside?". Haha. I'm definitely a big girl now. ;-)
3. I could eat Mexican food all day every day.
4. Yes, I am on of those Twilight people. So what.
5. My iPhone never, ever leaves my side. I think that's because I had my first one stolen from me.
6. McDonald's premium roast coffee is hands down the best coffee I've ever had. It's pretty much all I get at McDonald's, except for the occasional hot fudge sundae ;-)
7. I love the Discovery Channel and TLC, particularly the medical shows.
8. My guilty pleasure is following photography blogs. It has been for almost 3 years now. I don't necessarily have the desire to be a photographer myself, at least not at this point in life. But I absolutely LOVE photography.
9. I'm a sucker for all kinds of animals. If I could have a pet tiger, bear, cat, duck, dog, squirrel, giraffe, I totally would.
10. Trying to get into nursing school slash waiting to get into nursing school has been the most annoying phase of my life.
11. I'm truly blessed with the most amazing boyfriend ever. Seriously.
12. I have to do a marathon before I die.
13. I have to have caffeine at least once a day. Usually coffee or a soy chai in the morning gets the job done. Otherwise, hello headache and crankiness.
14. I have to eat my food proportionally. For example, if I get a burrito and there is too much beans and cheese in it, I have to squeeze a lot of it out to make it...proportioned.
15. Apparently I like Greek yogurt (way better for you) and granola with honey. My new favorite breakfast/snack.
16. Dexter is my all time favorite show. Ever. Well no, it is tied with Friends. I cannot wait for the 5th season!
17. I secretly miss driving stick shift car.
18. I have a new-found love for rose/blush wine. I'm easing myself into being a wine drinker...and wow, blush wine is purely amazing.
19. I can spend hours in Nordstrom and sometimes walk out empty-handed because I am so indecisive. I usually have to shop with someone else to help me make a decision.
20. I have very few best friends, each all have a special place in my heart in a way where the other couldn't fill. I am so grateful for them. You girls are the sisters I never had.
21. My favorite flowers are tulips. Hence the ridiculous name to my blog. They are so simple, beautiful, and classy to me.
22. I am kind of a hypochondriac. Okay, I am totally a hypochondriac. Sometimes knowing too much about the body and medicine makes my mind wander. I'll need to get over that quickly. ;-)
23. I am so thankful for this life every single day. I am truly blessed and thankful.

Untitled?
Yawn. I've been up since 3:45am. I really shouldnt complain, I actually love working the 5am shift at work because I get off so early. Once I had my $1.00 premium roast coffee from mcdonalds (seriously the best ever, waaaay better than starbucks' roast), I felt much better. :)
Brian and I went to church last night, we hadn't been in a few weeks so it was nice and refreshing. I really like it there (Revival Christian Fellowship in Menifee). Its a good sized, non denominational church that has the most amazing worship team ever. Not to mention the head pastor, Gary, is unbelievable....as well as the other pastors who have spoken there. He gets the message across in a way I understand, and he's super funny. I told Brian we need to introduce ourselves to him, we've been going to that church for about 5 months now. It's just a feel-good kinda place, which has definitely made a difference in my life.
Annnnnnd I'm STILL waiting to hear back from Loma Linda nursing...I've talked to a few nursing students who I have signed up at work and they informed me they found out via email preceding the letter in the mail. I"m trying my best to not be obsessive about checking my email, but it is quite difficult. I've also been told I could probably call and find out, but that makes me too nervous :p. I just wish I knew so I could plan a little, you know? I'm trying not to get my hopes up and set myself up for disappointment, worst case scenario I'd probably start in January instead of the fall. So cross your fingers and say a little prayer for me! ;)
I need a couple new bikinis for summer. Forever21 surprisingly has the most adorable bikinis right now. I hate spending too much money on swim suits because they usually get a little thrashed eventually anyway. Speaking of bikinis, I have been slacking on my workouts this week. I just literally havent had time, nor enough sleep. However, Brian made me do the P90X Yoga with him yesterday afternoon. I hate it. I need to find the right kind of yoga I guess. Not to mention afterwards I got a MAJOR headache, it was bizarre. Isnt yoga supposed to make you feel BETTER? Sigh. My idea of working out is running a few miles and maybe throwing in a few crunches too. I need to get used to it though, I hear nothing but good things about the benefits of yoga. I'm just so un-flexible and un-balnced it's impossible.
I think that's all I have to say right now, I shall leave you with a picture that shows why my favorite flower is tulip. It is seriously the perfect tulip. After writing and saying the word "tulip" to myself over and over again it just sounds ridiculous. Oh well.

here I go...
Could I have come up with a more random name for this blog? I think not. My favorite flowers are tulips, the pink ones are pretty, and fancy is just a cool word. Works for me. Anyway, I re-started my blogspot because I really want to start documenting my life, and I think this is the easiest way for me to journal it. I want to be able to reflect back on memories that I have written about. I've always heard that journaling is a good thing to do, so...here it is.
For my first post, I want to share with you a few photos Katie Schoepflin took of Brian and I. She asked us to be subjects for her photography business portfolio, and of course we were happy to help! Her photography website will be launching very soon, so make sure to keep an eye out for it! :)
